Senior Prep Guide

Welcome

First of all congratulations! Senior year is such an exciting milestone, and I’m so honored you chose Meagan Nicole Photography to capture this season of your life.

My goal is to create a session that feels fun, relaxed, authentic, and completely personalized to you. This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to feel confident and fully prepared for your session.

Your Senior Session Experience

Senior sessions are all about showcasing your personality, style, and this exciting chapter of life. Whether you want something casual, trendy, sporty, elegant, outdoorsy, or editorial-inspired, we’ll create a session that reflects YOU.

As part of my full-service experience, I’ll help guide you through:

-  Outfit planning

-  Location selection

-  Styling advice

-  Session preparation

-  Product and artwork design after your session

Preparing for Your Session

1.  Get Plenty of Rest

Try to get a good night’s sleep the night before your session. Feeling rested helps you look and feel your best.

2.  Hydrate + Avoid Sunburn

Drink plenty of water leading up to your session and avoid excessive sun exposure

right before your shoot.

Sunburns, tan lines, and peeling skin can be difficult to fully edit naturally.

3.  Nails Matter

Your hands will likely appear in close-up photos, so clean, neutral nails photograph beautifully.

Avoid chipped polish if possible no polish over chipped!

4.  Hair + Makeup

Professional hair and makeup are recommended because they photograph beautifully on camera and help you feel more confident during your session.

If you’re doing your own makeup:

-  Slightly more makeup than everyday photographs best

-  Avoid heavy glitter products

-  Keep your look true to your personality

What to Wear

Outfits play a huge role in the overall look of your session. I recommend choosing outfits that feel comfortable, flattering, and authentic to your style.

I Recommend:

-  Neutral tones

-  Earth tones

-  Soft colors

-  Simple textures and layers

-  Flowy dresses or well-fitted outfits

-  Accessories like hats, jewelry, jackets, or boots

Avoid:

-  Neon colors

-  Large logos/graphics

-  Busy patterns

-  Clothes that feel uncomfortable or restrictive

Part of any session with me comes styling help. Please feel free to reach out to me at any time for help or opinions. At the store send me photos!
